Story back dated from September 2018
I understand it is only one game, but really, nothing seems to have changed since last year under the offense of 2nd year man Steve Sarkisian. I have started to not believe any of the hype of what the Falcons are saying to the media and fans. They tell us what we want to hear, but behind closed doors, you might be able to guess what truly is going on. I will take you back to the 2016 Super Bowl season. The defense hit a snag, then after the lost to the Philadelphia Eagles and the bye, the defense turned it on and road that wave all the way to the Super Bowl…no talking about the Super Bowl!!! Richard Smith was the defensive coordinator. It wasn’t until the end of the season that we found out that he was stripped of that title, but no one knew until he was let go at the end of the season. Head Coach Dan Quinn took the defensive coordinator play calling after the Eagles game.
Lets spring forward to this off season as the Falcons brought in former Falcons offensive coordinator Greg Knapp as the QB coach. Guess what? I believe Sarkisian is on the hot seat and Quinn is going to give Sarkisian until game 3, or maybe game 5 to fix the red zone woes or Sarkisian is out and Knapp takes over the play calling duties. Quinn knows what he is doing but he will only say the nice thing and what everyone whats him to say. He brought Knapp in for a reason… that reason might just take charge soon. This is just my opinion people and take it at that.
