Story back dated from November 2018.
On Saturday, November 17, SunTrust Park, just two year old stadium, and the home of the Atlanta Braves, will host its first ever college football game in the stadium. Kennesaw State University, my alma mater, is located just 10 miles north on I-75 in metro Atlanta, will host Jacksonville State University. No. 2 Kennesaw State (9-1) and No. 6 Jacksonville State (8-2) both play in Division I FCS. These two schools last met last year at Jacksonville State in the second round of the FCS playoffs where Kennesaw State outlasted Jacksonville State 17-7. Kennesaw State has already locked up a spot in the FCS playoffs with the win last week at Monmouth 51-14 where Kennesaw State won the Big South Conference for the second straight year.
This might be a the game to watch if you live in the Atlanta area because there are not any top football games on Saturday. No. 5 Georgia (9-1, SEC) host UMass (4-7) at Sanford Stadium in Athens and Georgia Tech host Virginia over in the ACC.
So this Saturday, turn the TV dial to Fox Sports Southeast at 3:00 pm and watch two top 10 teams in the FCS battle it out at the home of the Atlanta Braves.
