Pitchers and catchers reported to spring training camp this past Friday in Orlando and as first reported, last year World Series closer for the Champion Boston Red Sox Craig Kimbrel who is a free agent was spotted in Orlando airport. Kimbrel is the Braves former closer and all offseason speculation was he would sign back with the Braves. Earlier optimism was he was signing, then that optimism was he was only in Orlando to play golf.
My opinion is, yes he might have played golf but there are hundreds other golf courses. Why choose Orlando? He wants and will sign with the Braves, knowing Orlando is where Braves spring training is held. It might take a minute but the deal will get done and he wants to sign with Braves. This is where it all began for Kimbrel, before the beard. So give it time people, Kimbrel will be a Brave soon. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong, but I think I will be right.
