This one will be debated forever in NFL history for his unfavorable responses to off the field issues of players actions off the field. But on this day, August 8, 2006, Roger Goodell was voted in as the next NFL commissioner to surpass Paul Taglibue by all 32 team owners.
Goodell has been great when it comes to charities but has been unfair in giving punishments to players for wrong doings.
The only thing I give Goodell credit for is the stand against players kneeling during the National Anthem before games. I am very patriotic and this country means everything to me. My stance…you kneel, you don’t play. Doesn’t matter if you are a superstar in the league or not. If you do not like this then you don’t have to play this sport.
