I absolutely love the Braves classic current uniform combo that offers a home white with Braves lettering in red trim as well as the tomahawk in red as well. The away grey has Atlanta lettering in red trim with the same red tomahawk. The Braves offer two alternate home uniforms, a red jersey with blue lettering and tomahawk and a cream colored uniform with red Braves lettering and red numbering with no tomahawk. The red jersey the team usually wears during weekend home games and the cream colored uniform specifically for Sunday home games. An alternate blue jersey with Atlanta in red lettering and tomahawk they wear on away games. Still not sure why the team wears grey on some away games then blue the during others. Maybe that’s the decision of the players/coaches. It could also depend on what the home team is wearing.

The home white, road grey, and cream are throwback classic uniforms from year’s past. The red and blue jerseys are a modern day add on a few years back. The red and blue I can do without, but it’s still okay. The other uniform combinations are timeless.
Pictured below are uniforms from the past that the Braves could not go wrong if they chose to go back to a throwback uniform.

Favorite uniforms among fans as well as media is the 1974 uniform combination since this is the uniform that Hank Aaron surpassed Babe Ruth when Aaron hit his 715 home run on way to 755 total home runs. Though my favorite is the classic pinstripes of the 1969 season being the home uniforms and the 1971 uniform being the away uniform.
Since the passing of Aaron last month, I’ve been reading that sports media and fans alike are calling for the Braves Organization to go out of their comfort zone and change up the uniforms to honor Aaron If the team would do that it would not only please fans of uniforms, but also fans that have called for the tomahawk to be retired.
No statement has been released by the Braves about this, but I imagine this topic has been discussed in their morning meetings. At least I hope so.
Braves report to Spring Training in North Port, FL at the end of this month.
