In a memo sent to all team offices today, teams can use alternate throwback helmets of different color beginning in the 2022 season. Not sure why this was a big deal to take this away a few years back. But it was taken away and is back beginning 2022.
The throwback red helmet for the Falcons was a popular color when the team wears their 1966 throwback uniforms. Currently the team wears the 1966 throwback with the black helmets with old Falcon logo. It will be interesting to see what style/color helmet the team uses when they have the ability to choose next season.
