Why I Write

Why I write? Well, there are so many reasons. But I think the number one reason I write is that it makes me feel good. I enjoy taking time sitting in front of my MacBook Pro or iPad Pro with a cup of joe and put fingers to the keys. I get my thoughts across better when I write. I have a Communications/Journalism undergraduate degree and a Master’s in Education, but I really haven’t put my work out there. I have created this sports website, but getting my work out there is always a dream of mine.

Updating this site with my sports writing is enjoyable for me, and I enjoy seeing the finished product of a piece I’m putting together. I enjoy changing up the template of this site as well. I have Cerebral Palsy on my right side of my body, full function on my left side. Good thing I’m left-handed or I would be up the creek. A little dry humor for you. and I stopped playing sports in high school, not because I couldn’t do it, but because there were other factors in my life at that time that were more important. I love sports and enjoy writing my thoughts to this day on my favorite sports teams.

My ultimate dream would be to write a weekly online sports column for a sports magazine/newspaper while still managing the library building at a local university where I live. This column would not have to be on my favorite local teams…this could be my view from all sports. But until that time comes, I will continue to write and enjoy creating this sports blogs that helps put my sports thoughts on computer and helps keep my writing current and up to speed. There’s nothing more to say but… PLAY BALL!!!!
