Braves capture division again

Last night the Atlanta Braves captured their 4th National League Eastern Divisional title for the fourth straight season as they took down the Philadelphia Phillies 5-3 at Truist Park. Over all the Braves have won 121 division titles in the history of the Braves that spans from Boston to Milwaukee, and Atlanta. Braves have the most divisional titles in the Major Leagues, but what really matters in the World Series title.

The Braves will shoot for their fourth World Series title next week when they begin the Divisional Playoff Series versus the Milwaukee Brewers in Milwaukee. The Braves won their first world series as the Boston Braves in 1914, their second in Milwaukee in 1957, and their third in Atlanta in 1995.

Throughout the 2021 season the Brewers and Braves faced off six time and both teams teams won three and lost three. The Braves went to Milwaukee and won two of three games while the Brewers won two of three games played back in Atlanta.

In this year where Hank Aaron passed, it’s only fitting that the two teams he played for meet in the first round of this years playoffs. He played for both the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves as well as the Milwaukee Brewers to finish off his baseball career.
