Georgia Bulldogs win the east

With the Georgia Bulldogs putting on another dominant game in Jacksonville this past Saturday, beating rival Florida Gators 34-7 and the Kentucky Wildcats loss to Mississippi State 17-31, the Bulldogs earned another trip to Atlanta to play for the 2021 SEC Championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Bulldogs win the SEC East in dominant fashion only allowing 6.6 points per game so far this year. The offense has been elite as well averaging 35 points per game, but the focus of this team has been on the defensive side of the ball. The motto for the Bulldogs defense is, “we don’t allow offenses to score in our endzone.”

Starting quarterback JT Daniels suffered a lads (lower back injury) during the win over Clemson and finished the game, but has since not played a snap. Junior Stetson Bennett has done well, helping manage the offense to a 8-0 start, but Daniels should be ready and back as the Bulldogs host the Missouri Tigers between the the hedges this Saturday, November 6 at 12:00pm est.

Out of nowhere has come freshman Tight End Brock Bowers, who leads the team in receiving with 454 yards with six touchdowns. He has 26 catches and averaging 17.5 yards a catch. Many have compared Bowers play to that of TE Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rob Gronkowski. If that’s the case, then Bowers is going to have an elite pro career.

The Bulldogs (6-0 SEC play, 8-0 overall) will either play Alabama (4-1 SEC play, 6-0 overall) or Auburn (3-1 SEC play, 6-2 overall) To be honest, the only way Auburn wins the west is if they win out and Alabama loses two more SEC games. More tan likely it will be a rematch of many championship games between the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide.
