Two Legends join the Falcons’Ring of Honor

QB Matt Ryan throws a pass/via USA Today

Quarterback Matt Ryan is just two years removed from playing his last game with the Atlanta Falcons, and yesterday the team announced that he will be named into the Falcons’ “Ring of Honor” sometime during the upcoming regular season. There is no debating that #2 is the best quarterback to put on a Falcon’ uniform as well as the best player to ever play with the Falcons.

Head Coach Raheem Morris called Ryan to Flowery Branch in asking Ryan to give a talk to the team about what it means to be a Falcons’ player. Watch:

Meanwhile, another Falcons thought he was going to to meet the Falcons’ number one draft pick in his office, but instead was greeted by former Falcons’ RB Warrick Dunn and WR Roddy White. Owner Arthur Blank had just entered the office to a napkin that read:

Blank bought the Falcons in 2001 and was inspirational in drafting QB Michael Vick and Ryan, among others. Under Blank’s ownership, the Falcons have appeared in one Super Bowl.

Two great gentlemen being honored for the work that they do.
