The endzones that is!!! This is something that I have been pushing since last November when the Falcons hosted the Saints on Thanksgiving night. The Falcons wore their throwback uniforms and repainted the field old school including the endzones. I tweeted out that it would be great to see the endzones painted black on a regular basis.
“Now with the @AtlantaFalcons back in black home jerseys let’s say the endzones get painted black as well?” Just the other day I retweeted the tweet and added “Getting close @AtlantaFalcons and @MBStadium. Would love to see black end zones.”
There were actually many fans that were wanting this, it wasn’t just myself. I’m just a fan that enjoys writing about my favorite teams.
From 2003 – 2019 with the old uniforms, the endzones at the Georgia Dome and currently Mercedes-Benz Stadium, were green with Atlanta Falcons words painted in the endzones.

That was then, and this is now. With new uniforms, the Falcons posted this on their Twitter page:
All I can say is that looks sharpe. Fans might get mad at the team for not playing well, but I will tell you the organization listens to their fans. Great job ATLANTA FALCONS!!!!
